About our Team:

• We are a dedicated team of qualified accountants responsible for ensuring Sage International's compliance with financial reporting standards for annual statutory accounts, tax, and VAT, including conducting transfer pricing reviews.

• We serve as key advisors to a broader Sage Business, engaging in due diligence processes for entity acquisitions and disposals, and new entity registrations. We review internal controls and provide guidance on complex compliance matters. We also participate in finance transformation activities.

• We work closely with other Sage accounting teams, HR, Editorial teams and Sage Management board.

Could you be our new Financial Accountant, Compliance? Are you?

• A technically excellent accountant with the desire to research issues and stay on top of developments to relevant accounting frameworks (principally UK GAAP and US GAAP).
• Someone that possess the ability to articulate intricate matters effectively in both written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with various regulations.
• An individual with a strong work ethic, with dedication to completing projects within set deadlines.

Your new role:

• You will help to prepare financial disclosures for various Sage International entities and subsequently participate in the related audits.
• You will take ownership of ledgers including the preparation of trial balances and accounting journals. Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for variety of Sage International GLs, branches and subsidiaries.
• You will support Senior Compliance Manager with timely and accurate preparation of Company’s & Subsidiaries VAT returns, including Tax reporting.
• You will be involved in various process review projects, implementation and testing of financial controls according to the Sage Global risk matrix.
• Assist with due diligence tasks during acquisitions, acquisition accounting, and transitioning processes to Sage.
• Act as technical expert for the wider business by bringing specialist and in-depth accounting knowledge to a variety of challenging, complex issues arising from transactions, business decisions and regulatory changes.
